The purpose of a blog is to engage other readers to be active on the site. It also lets Google (& other search engines) know that you’re proactively updating your website with relevant information. For the most part, robots will be reading the content and ranking the pages towards the overall site.
Monthly Blog
Clients that have purchased a monthly subscription with us will have 1 article written per month based on topics chosen. The posts will be automatically posted to their website and social media profiles (if we have access) on the first of the month.
To start the process immediately, we have compiled a questionnaire and list of topics that can be prepopulated for the client. We will submit 12 topics for the year and during November, we will renew and send additional topics for the following year.

Monthly Blogging Instructions
- Fill out the questionnaire with topics relating to your client’s specialty.
- Once the form is submitted, copy + paste the “edit submission” URL found on thank you page. Paste it into CP > Products > Blog. See screenshots below.
Paste the URL here and Save.

- When form is submitted, your client will receive an email with the list of topics and will also have access to the same “edit submission” link.
- Any team member will be able to see the submitted topics in CP and update there, accordingly.
- Our copywriter will also be emailed regarding the topics and make postings directly onto client’s website. Topics will be released for the first of the month.
- If client would like their posts to be posted to Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus, please provide the login credentials and note it in Social Media section of CP.
A few clients would like to manage their own blog, however, we would need to create a template in their theme so that sidebars, widgets and other standard blogging elements are properly displayed.

- Log onto clients dashboard > customizer > 360 panel > turn on blog
- Create a category called “blog”
- Send instruction to client to categorize their posts as “blog”
- Create a menu item as “blog” and link to this category or page
Godaddy Website Theme Activation
- Submit a task/ticket for developer to create a blog template. This should include:
- archive.php — should have featured image, excerpt, comment count and read more
- sidebar with widget areas
- fill in sidebar with widgets: search, recent posts, categories
- single.php — should have featured image, sidebar, next/previous post and comments.
